Weekly stuff

We are off on a new week of fun fulled adventure around here and loving every minute of it! This last weekend was great, Pat's parents were here for the beginning of the weekend and then Saturday afternoon and Sunday (after they left), we did NOTHING! We sat and played games, the Wii, watched movies, and just hung out! It was wonderful, the kids had a great time with Mom and Dad, we loved spending total undivided attention to them.

We have a tradition around here, it is called stalling when it is time to go to bed. Our kids find everything little thing that they think hurts and then they need to come tell us. Our usual response is..."If it still hurts in the morning then we can see what is going on." If they are just stalling then that is usually the last you hear about it but if it really hurts then they will complain later on again that night when they really can't go to sleep. So Sunday night when Jonathan was supposed to be going to bed he came in to tell us something. "I am thirsty and I won't be thirsty in the morning!" I am sure he was trying really hard to get his five year old brain to work the "system" but I don't think it has perfected that yet. We had a great laugh about it though!

Patrick will have his pretest tonight at TKD to see if he is ready for his black belt test or if he is going to have to wait another three months. He has been working very hard but I am not sure what will happen tonight. He has a tendency to get distracted when he is nervous. We will also not be in the room so that he can't be looking at us to see if he is doing good, I think that will help!

This coming weekend we are off to Minnesota to watch snowmobile racing! My brother spends all of his off time doing this and Jonathan loves this kind of stuff so we are looking forward to watching. Hopefully we will not freeze to death out there!

Well, off to get the kids ready for school and to start my day.
