is interesting. This was our first year experience it and I am not too thrilled for next year. It is a lot of fun to hangout with friends and to see the boys excited but I could live without all the competitiveness with the parents. The boys are just excited to see what creation each one has and to watch the cars go down the track but the parents are a different story. Some parents go all out and spend way too much time and money on making sure "their" car is the fastest and then there is the ones who let the boys do it all by themselves. I had a hard time this year because Jonathan can't really do any of it, he watched a lot. He watched Pat cut it out, he watched Pat use the dremel, he sanded with sand paper which got very old quick, and he helped paint it. The weights Pat had to do also.
All in all Jonathan had a great time with his friends and his car was the slowest car but since he won with his boat earlier this year we were all ok that he didn't win this. He didn't even say anything about losing, it was funny, I don't think he ever noticed. The Den also got to post the colors for the first time and that was adorable! They did a great job, especially since they had never done it before. Way to go Tigers!
