We have....

a 2nd place sparring medal, a Class B referee for TKD, a flag footbal star (according to him), a clutzy girl on crutches, and a very tired Mom who is there for everything.

Pat is preparing for his 3rd Degree Black Belt testing next weekend so we made our way to a tournament for him to get some experience for Referring, a requirement for his testing. We will have his parents, sister, and nephews here for the big day. We are all looking forward to this, Pat has worked hard for it.

Samantha smacked her knee into the car door jam getting out of the car, that's the clutzy part. She has been on crutches for two weeks now and going in for a MRI this week to try and figure out why she is still in so much pain. The xrays the past two weeks have shown no break, but I am told that doesn't always mean there isn't one in there. ??? She obviously did not participate in the tournament but did get to use her referee skills for the first time.

Patrick got a 2nd place in sparring and was thrilled with that! He is having some difficulties in school this year. He forgets homework and forgets to bring things home for me to see. The school here puts a lot of emphasis on responsibility and accountability starting in the fifth grade. I love it because come JR High there is no one checking up on the kids, they have to learn this stuff before they get there. So the teacher and I are working extra hard for Patrick to learn this and excell!

Jonathan loves playing flag football and has learned that even though there is more work in 1st grade it is still fun. He had a field trip to the zoo on Friday and I was able to accompany him. It was a lot of fun and I love that I am able to be there for him. He has stopped participating in TKD because he is enjoying all the rest of the sports and will possibly join again in a year or two. He has also joined Cub Scouts this year, so we will see how this goes!

I have watched the baby for two weeks now and we are starting to get into a routine. I have had a lot of fun and she is very good, even though we go all over the place, doc appt, picnics, shopping, PTA stuff, lunches, and all kinds of things.

You are now updated with our family and we will have more to tell you by tomorrow, I am sure of it!
