Highs and Lows 2/14/09

I have many things so I am picking more then one for each!

Lows:
1. The school Sami got information from was an accident and now they are saying she is going to have to go to the school I don't want her to go to. The school system has open enrollment so we are trying to get her into the other school but they are not sure. I have decided that if we have to I will move to another house inside the school lines so that they don't have a choice but to let her in, that is how strongly I feel about her NOT going to that other school. We have many friends whose kids have already been through junior high and after listening to the stories I would be fine at either of the other two schools but that ONE!

2. After having the satelite people out to install HD we did not have tv for two days and I missed the nascar duel races at Daytona. The company said they wouldn't be able to send out anyone until Sunday afternoon and then I would miss the Nascar race at Daytona but due to my husbands persistence we were able to get it fixed!

3. We got about five inches of snow here and the whole city shut down! Sami's babysitting course, Patrick's youth party, Jonathan's appt and TKD testing was all canceled because the base shut down! It will now be incredible difficult to try and factor all this into our schedule again when everything is rescheduled. AAAGGGHHH! It is a little snow and they way they were acting you would have thought they were getting the storm of the century!

HIGHS:

1. Today is Valentine's Day and we are spending it together as a family watching Madagascar 1 & 2, having steak and shrimp for dinner and just having a quiet night!

2. This is Jonathan's last game so I don't have to sit through any more basketball practices!

3. Pat is going to run for PTA president again next year but he is going to have a co president so I won't have all the extra stuff to do by myself and the high is that I am ok with it because I think next year will be different. I am thinking that we won't have as many issues as this year, it may be wishful thinking but I am going to try it and see if it works!
